Parramatta to host AC Milan Academy

The 2008 Football Development Australia AC Milan Academy program is scheduled to kick-off on Saturday March 8 and will run for a full 10 months to cover the official AC Milan Academy elite player development curriculum.

This season the players selected to join this exclusive development program will train at the state of the art training facility of Parramatta Stadium. The Academy squads will train three times a week at the venue and the excellent playing surfaces will facilitate the short, sharp playing style of the AC Milan Academy players and teams.

FDA Director Cormac Begley commented: “AC Milan have strict criteria around the venue requirements for its academies around the world. Parramatta Stadium is a top class venue and AC Milan official Daniele Massaro was extremely impressed with the facilities when he visited the venue during a recent visit to Sydney.”

The Sydney based Academy run by FDA is officially recognized by AC Milan as an important international development centre along with the academies in Mexico, Croatia and the USA.
