John Aloisi's return to Australia this week has made me realise just how many big names we have in the A-League this year. He joins an already impressive list: Juninho, Popovic, Moore, Tiatto, Heffernan, Hernandez, Jardel...
Perhaps it's taken me by surprise because of the number of defenders on the list who operate under the radar. One addition to the A-League that certainly hasn't snuck in quietly is Wellington's marquee Ahmad Elrich - did you see his wondergoal last weekend?! If not, check it out on YouTube.
So this weekend, as you're watching all the A-League action, check out just how many big names there are out on the pitch.

Australia may not have had too much success in this year's AFC Champions League, but at least we can say that Sydney FC lost to one of the finalists. Urawa Reds booked their spot after a thrilling penalty shoot-out win over Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma.

Great! So he should be fit to tackle some big waves down at the beach and make it up those steep stairs up to buddy Dwight Yorke's favourite drinking hole Hugo's in Sydney's Kings Cross.
