So Danny Vukovic can go to the Olympics after all... unless he gets a sudden urge to protest over Tibet.

While no-one would argue that Vukovic didn't deserve a strong penalty for slapping a ref, 15 months and an Olympic dream in tatters did seem a little harsh - John Aloisi can scream at linesman and players can surround a ref and bully him, but brush him with the back of your hand...

Anyway, this week's decision was a win-win with the FFA getting a nice little $10,000 face-saver. Now, what to spend it on... referee development?
